Ingredients:

6 slices bread (cut into heart shape)
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1-1/2 tbsp almond extract, divided
2 tbsp and1 cup butter, divided
3 tbsp confectioners sugar
Additional confectioners sugar
Fresh strawberries (Sliced)

Method:

In a shallow bowl,mix well the eggs, milk and 1/2 tbsp almond extract. Dip bread on both sides in egg mixture. In a pan melt 2 tbsps butter. Cook bread hearts each side or until golden brown.
For almond butter, in a small bowl, combine confectioners sugar and remaining butter and extract; mix well. Sprinkle French toast with additional confectioners sugar. Serve with almond butter and strawberries.

 Ingredients:

12 hard-cooked eggs, peeled
1 cup white vinegar or lemon juice
1 cup water
1 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp pickling spice
1 tsp salt

Method:

 Combine vinegar, water, sugar, pickling spices and salt in small saucepan.Bring to boil, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain liquid through sieve or cheesecloth, if desired. Place eggs in 1lit jar with lid. Pour hot liquid over eggs into jar; Cover jar with lid.  Refrigerate for at least two days before using.
