Ingredients:
1 cup Sabudana (Javvarisi/Sago wash and soak overnight)
2 cups boiled Milk
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1-2 tbsp Cashews and Raisins, each
1 tbsp Ghee
Pinch of Saffron
Method:
Drain the sago well and keep aside.In a pan, add the ghee
and when hot, add cashews to it, roaste them after add the
raisins. When plump, remove them both and set aside.
In the same pan toast the drained sago for a minute.Add 1-1/2 cups water or milk to the sago and cook for few mins
Keep stirring until you
find the sago turning soft.Take 1 tbsp of that milk and add the saffron to it mix well and set aside.Add the desired amount of sugar to it. Stir until it melts and combined well.Then add the saffron milk and cardamom powder and garnish with nuts and raisins. Serve.
